@kaliagainstallodds Understand your point, but disagree. People have been led to believe that #Bluesky is a safe because the company has marketed that it is "decentralized." Most folks don't really understand this stuff, but are convinced because it is repeated in the media and their associates are doing the same thing.
This is a teachable moment. Hopefully people will see the vulnerability and the inherently more defensible nature of the Fediverse and make decisions accordingly.
@Dumuabzu2 @kaliagainstallodds Not sure it needs to be that complicated. Suspect that there are plenty of Mastodon insrance admins who would not block users in response to requests by the Turkish government.
