Hello, Fediverse!

We just shipped NeoDB 0.10 , with revamped i18n support and other features. A dedicated project site is also up: neodb.net

If you haven't heard about #NeoDB , it's basically Goodreads+ Letterboxd + RateYourMusic + Podchaser, all in one place, #opensource, powered up with #ActivityPub, plus microblogging, like #Mastodon and its apps.

Love to hear your thoughts, and if you find this project useful, or think someone else may think so, please help boost!

Sounds awesome! Have you run some experiments to test the HX (Human eXperience) of federating a NeoDB instance with a BookWyrm instance?

@strypey haven't tried but if my knowledge reading its code a few months ago is not outdated, Bookwyrm will see NeoDB as yet another AP server just like Mastodon/etc, because it only send/recv full review data to Bookwyrm servers, not any other server type. There are some discussion about it but I'm not sure where that is on their roadmap. github.com/bookwyrm-social/boo…

Once barrier above get solved, both may have to make some adjustment to exchange book metadata, which I assume would be feasible.

If there isn't an FEP for this yet, perhaps you and the BookWyrm devs could get one started?
