This is why I'm hoping the company I work for does not fall for the AI hype. There's enough technical debt and pain in code review already, and having a plagiarism bot generating huge gobs of additional, sort-of-working code for someone senior to pore over will only make technical debt and review pain rapidly worse.

What's funny is that while a year ago the junior developers were all clamouring to use AI and bosses were saying "no way", now the situation has reversed.
