:firefox: New Mozilla's CEO isn't very good a veiled threats:

"He says he could begin to block ad blockers in Firefox and estimates that’d bring in another $150 million, but he doesn’t want to do that. It feels off-mission"

Adblockers are one of the few reasons I've stuck with Firefox as long as I have.

Some recent updates fixed, then broke, then removed the widget.gtk.non-native-titlebar-buttons.enabled setting which enabled themed OS window buttons on Linux.

If they get rid of adblockers, I'm switching to Vivaldi.

It's hard not to appreciate the irony of the article you linked not being viewable because I use an ad-blocker.

@genericperson : If you're using Firefox then the little reader button (or whatever it's called) nicely bypasses this paywall/nagwall.

$150 Mil?

Based on a fallacious assumption that people don't drop a burning dumpster browser 🙄

@nlarson830 : Yeah, I'm guessing if Firefox were to block ad-blockers they'd see an overall revenue drop.
