All I want is a few acres of forest and spaces for my favorite people to each have a tiny home. And paths that go between the houses. Far enough so you aren’t looking in but close enough so that evening Rummy games and impromptu 80’s dance parties can happen organically.

Also the paddock for the rescued horses. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of those.

I know I mention this every few months but it’s because I really want it to happen and maybe if I keep mentioning it, it will.

I love this idea. I've got a group of friends who talk about it, but nothing ever went forward and now we're living in different places. Sigh.

I will point out, "looking into legalities"-wise, that the rules around senior living (not care) facilities are a lot more amenable to "group" housing, which many tiny houses on a single plot fall into in a lot of places. 😊

Ah, you didn't see it, but on my private alt account I pitched running a combined public library and food court and got that approved. So yeah, you can totally pitch a job for approval. ;)

Glad you’ve figured out what you’d like! I’m starting to feel overwhelmed so think I’ll stick to being a solitary forest witch who occasionally emerges to roam freely among people I’m already approved by. 😏 When society collapses and there are no more cars on narrow winding roads, I’ll happily switch to bikes.

I myself have been sick for so long that if I'm healthy, I will choose to hang out with the horses all day. But I will everyone AMAZING cocoa on the reg.

I've been thinking about this, yes; I have in my brain a map of pathways such that you can get anywhere via walking paths and cycling tracks. We could have a road that goes to the outer edge of our little village for motor vehicles if they're ever required, but that doesn't actually enter.

“all you need” is high paying remote work and a willingness to move to the middle of nowhere.

Plus, you know… atypically high savings, or a rich relative for the down payment.

Tree houses for all, interconnected hanging bridges, foot and cycling paths through the woods on the ground, and a raised, wooden railway that's free to use and trundles by every 20 minutes. And maybe there's a waterfall somewhere with a low key bar and lounge behind it and a swimming hole in front. Is that too much to ask?

No music in the lounge, though, the waterfall would be too noisy. Maybe there's a connected cavern further in that would have good acoustics. Ooh, and a hot spring. Gotta have a hot spring. And, since we've got a hot spring, geothermal energy should be easy to set up.
