In Ukraine, thousands of “ordinary suburban dads” went to the main square in Kyiv in 2013. Office workers, engineers, small business owners, parents. People who liked gardening, good food, and quiet evenings.
They came out after the Yanukovych regime violently beat students, kids who were asking for a future without corruption and dictatorship.
Ukrainians are very normal people. We love calm lives. We don’t look for trouble.
But when evil comes too close to our suburban garden, we don’t stay polite.
