never start a holy war on the Asian internet or Xi will have you thrown off a balcony

Chinggis won several land wars in Asia; victorious wars on two fronts are beyond count; "holy war" includes (for example) the initial Muslim expansion and the Albigensian Crusade, so success can be had; war with the internet never did anyone much, if any, actual harm.

"Don't start your wars with vague objectives" and "constrain your objectives to your logistics", maybe?

@graydon
well yes, it's obviously addressed to those who can, by not starting there, choose wars outside of Asia, to avoid getting involved in Asia's wars.

(Excellent point re Logistics, nat.)

long-arc epic fantasy series which the author has not completed?

Good luck with NOT starting a holy war because religious people are supremely trigger happy.

But fortunately 'sentence with a conjunction' is not one of the options. (-:

Since the guy who blabbed about a land war in Asia was dead one minute later, he may have been wrong.

@KanaMauna What? Basil Liddel-Hart lived a long time after he published that history book! Are you referring to someone who stole his bon mot in a popular entertainment?

Surely starting a holy war is obligatory, not optional.
