@fautif Well the lens is for a project where I hit a snag with my existing minimal gear. But I'm just going to Prague for personal downtime and I'll get to experiment with the new lens just pour la passion

Planning some portraiture? I quite like my “nifty fifty” on an APS-C body for that.

@winissen I am. First and foremost I ran into a wall with shooting some talking head video and I wanted a lens that would make it easier to achieve the look and functionality I was after

Ooo, very nice! I look forward to seeing the photos you make with it. Safe travels! (I shoot Sony, btw.)

Oh, the old a7rIII. Eight years old and still works well!

@elaterite Nice! I fantasise about upgrading to an R model next. I've been rather happy with my A7IV. It's been a great hybrid for me that's pretty good at everything. Overall love my Sony

Cool! I think I'll get an a7rV when they go on sale next year after they introduce (likely) an a7rVI. The VI will likely have a bunch of AI functions I don't want. I'm happy with my Sony and the lenses I have. I just wish they would make a model without video and optimized for still photography.

@elaterite haha I'm a little the opposite. I love a camera that lets me do both photo and video. the FX would be great for video too but would prefer to keep things minimal
