As a side note, Indeed tells you when your application is viewed. Of the 20k job apps I've sent over the last few years, a SOLID 98% of them are just. Never looked at, and the jobs are readvertised in perpetuity.

Ghost hiring really should be a fineable offence.

it should not be a fineable offense, because a fine means it's only illegal for small/"poor" corporations.

It's the #HR equivalent of #MarkToMarketAccounting...

  • They should be obligated to fill an advertised vacancy and evidence it!
