in reply to It's Going Down • • •teamsters unionize federal prison guards because they used to *drive* the chain gangs to the fields. Now, bolstering their numbers and strike funds with public employees (which are harder to union bust) helps get other teamsters wage hikes. Therefore unionizing prison guards is in the interest of the union, but not the working class, who is being mass incarcerated.
This is one of many examples of how blue book unions divide the working class and are fundamentally counter revolutionary entities. Get your raise just like you would go for a promotion, but don’t pretend that it’s revolutionary at all.
