Last night, someone who was arrested by the Portland Police Bureau at an anti-ICE protest over two weeks ago was arrested by the FBI. They are being held at least until arraignment Monday.
WHEN THE POLICE ARE AT YOUR DOOR Keep this poster mounted on the wall somewhere out of sight from the front door. • If an agent knocks, DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR. If possible, speak through the door. If you must go outside to speak, close the door behind you.
• Police can claim you are avoiding arrest if they see you in the house and you do not answer the door. If you can, install a door chain and a peephole.
IF THEY ARE HERE TO ARREST SOMEONE * Agents must have an arrest warrant to arrest someone inside a home. * The warrant must be signed by a judge and specify the person to be arrested. * If the arrest occurs inside, agents may search the area of the person arrested. To limit this, the person may leave the house, lock the door, and surrender. * If arested say: "I am going to remain silent I would like to speak to a lawyer." IF THEY ARE HERE TO SEARCH YOUR HOUSE * Ask if they

Updated in 2020! The Center for Constitutional Rights created If An Agent Knocks to provide advice to activists likely to be targeted by FBI agents or other federal investigators.
How did it turn out? Way different than you might expect. So they fucked up the warrant, it exonerated both me and another guy. One day I got called into the office of the head JAG prosecutor. He was pissed he couldn't nail me but there was nothing they could do. Except for this, some of the worst duty in the service, deck scraper on the USS Duluth.
So I was in a transient unit waiting to be ordered to the Duluth when some civilian who worked at the unit sidled up to me and said, "there's a way out of this." Of course they hadn't told me I could request an administrative discharge. Neither honorable nor dishonorable. Like a sideways discharge. Which would allow me to get all the VA benefits, including full secondary education, housing loans, etc.
You could say I built a whole ass career from keeping my mouth shut for a night.
Not sure on specific laws, but I have seen YouTube channels that focus on pointing out when pigs either break laws or just lie during interactions. That they can get around some items on the image with regards to entering without a warrant. Easiest way is to claim that something that there was "active threats" (might claim to see/hear someone in danger) or was likely "active attempts to destroy evidence" (like drugs being flushed). Might not hold-up, but not like they care.
