A 31 POINT SWING!!!

"With ballots tallied from all but a handful of voting centers, Rehmet had 57% of the vote, besting the 43% for his GOP opponent, conservative activist Leigh Wambsganss, who vastly outspent Rehmet as Republicans including Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick mounted a furious funding push in a bid to tilt the election in their favor in the final days."

So, the Democrat wins by 14 points in a district Trump won by 17 points...

THATS A 31 POINT SWING FOLKS

@mastodonmigration @cruiser might want to consider whether a sizable portion of this result as a lot to do with local (education-related) politics

Which doesn’t make the result less impressive (Rehmet really was massively outspent!) but probably doesn’t have the national implications that some want to attribute to it
