I really like Delta chat but with my sis, we both have notifications issues on our phones. She's on iOS and me on Android 13.

sorry about that. We are constantly trying to improve this ... in the last 2 weeks there was a problem with iOS in particular (the devices didn't receive a heartbeat from apple because of a bad certificate from our side) but it should be better now. On Android did you try turning on permanent notification and see if messages arrive then? We fixed some bugs in the last two weeks which improves reliability but there is only a test android release download.delta.chat/android/be…

it depends on a lot of factors -- android versions and sometimes manufacturer's defaults differ -- see also dontkillmyapp.com/ -- but it might very well also be bugs on our side.
