I want to know if its a good idea or should I use a paid vpn inside my VPS. If there is a better alternative like another VPS provider who ignores DMCA notices and stuff, do suggest. I also sync some folders using syncthing. So its kind of a mixed use. I don't know much about networking and stuff, so hopefully nothing too complicated. Thanks in advance.

I'm working on a project that needs lots of toolbars on screen at once, even though not all of them will be used at the same time. So, I'm modelling this 'foldable' dock widget after what I remember Photoshop panels used to be like.
It's a work in progress, but would like to hear constructive suggestions.

How do you actually find fediverse bloggers
I'm starting to get in to self hosting and am looking at self-hosted blog solutions. It looks like WriteFreely is the main fediverse blog platform, with Plume as second though I don't see it used much.
But that got me thinking that it'd be good to follow federated blogs and have some long form reading that I follow, like we did back when RSS was the main way of doing things.
But how do I actually find bloggers? It looks like WriteFreely can federate with Mastodon, but it doesn't look like there's a federated blogging platform like lemmy or mastodon. Is this correct? Where I can I go (other than Medium) to find blogs and bloggers in the fediverse?

They made a great deal of money though acting like they believed Trump winning was going to be the end of Democracy. I agree he will be, but their actions after the election show me they don't believe it, or they don't care because they see their own opportunity there. However, all countries that are signatories to the Berne convention will respect copyright law, and the list of countries that aren't is very short, and those that aren't probably observe TRIPS. And those countries are unlikely to have the infrastructure you want.

in reply to catloaf • • •This only applies for non-enterprise. There are hundreds of enterprise businesses who also do business in the US which are required to also follow US laws. So you could have a UK, or Sweden based business who has branches in the US, who also have to follow US law.
It's not quite as cut and dry as you're making it out to be.
