Israeli TV presenter faces criticism after blowing up building in Lebanon

An Israeli TV presenter has come under criticism after being filmed blowing up a building in Lebanon during a broadcast.

Danny Kushmaro, a news presenter on Channel 12, was shown wearing a bulletproof vest and helmet while a soldier instructed him on how to detonate an explosive device.

A soldier told Kushmaro that a nearby building had been used to launch rockets into northern Israel. After a countdown, the journalist then pressed the detonator button, destroying the building.

The incident drew condemnation on social media, with many calling it a violation of journalistic ethics.

He's one of the good ones, so he's blowing up other people instead of getting blown up himself.

I think you should still pass --cmd Hyprland to it, no?

in reply to balsoft

I am basing my config on this github.com/JManch/nixos/blob/m…

And I don't see 'em using --cmd only difference I've noticed so far is that they use a flake to define the package of hyprland.

in reply to Yash Raj

Looks like here may be your issue: github.com/apognu/tuigreet/iss…

Stable Tuigreet is 0.9.0, which is affected, so if using that, makes sense to pull it from unstable otherwise just update, I guess

PetroChina set to shut top north China refinery in 2025, sources say

in reply to schizoidman

China's overall refining volumes are down significantly since middle of year as EVs are surpassing 50% market share there. Also while NG use for electricity is down, they are converting a lot of heavy transport to use LNG. In the future this will transition to H2.

This is a year of major climate progress, and even the west is inching forward.

in reply to sag

i'm actually genuinely surprised and shocked to the point where i fell down on the floor and didn't even close my eyes, you're actually telling me blender (or something like blender) can now be used on nokia phones from many decades ago?!
in reply to Ms. Falcon

It's nothing to do with Blender but seems to have been inspired by older versions of it.

Whisk3D is a Blender clone, developed from scratch for Symbian s60v3.

...

Not a port: This program does not share any code with the original Blender.

Which Mouse / Keyboard is fully supported on Linux?

My venerable Logitech Mouse a is nearing the end of it's life and I'm thinking about a replacement.
Since I have no plans to switch my Gaming PC to Windows 11 I would like to have a mouse (and eventually a keyboard) that properly supports Linux.

I looked at the sites for Corsair, Logitech and Razer and the corresponding software is available for Windows (and sometimes MacOS for some reason) but no Linux Version.

Since I actually use some of the fancy Gaming-Gear functionality like setting up macros and variable DPI I'd like to use the software that is used to set these things up.
How do you guys deal with this?
Is there a manufacturer that offers their software for Linux?
Do these things run properly under Wine?

in reply to ackthxbye

It's third party and CLI only, but rivalcfg supports a decent variety of Steel Series mouses / mice / meece / mousen.

I bought a Razer Basilisk 3 because it was the only mouse where I could reach both thumb buttons with the fingertip-ish grip I use. Wasn't fully supported by Linux software at first, but worst case I could program it on Windows which I had on a dual boot at the time. Now that I can use it with Polychromatic and OpenRazer it even works better on Linux. On Windows the Razer software won't let me save individual LED colours to the mouse, and needs to be running all the time in order to do that..

Ny istid i Norden? Det går att leva i Norden på grund av att varmt vatten förs med havsströmmar norrut. Populärt brukar en säga att det är Golfströmmen som gör att det går att leva och bo i Norden.
