Statement from Bernie Sanders: "Will the big money interests and well-paid consultants who control the Democratic Party learn any real lessons from this disastrous campaign?"

Narrator voice record scratch ...... They didn't learn.

The xenophobic finger-pointing continues.

Bernie is the modern day version of Bernstein. Bernie's emphasis on gradual reform and cooperation with the bourgeoisie is essentially an abandonment of the fight for socialism. Much like Bernstein did in hist time, Bernie prioritizes short-term gains for workers within the capitalist system instead of striving for its overthrow. He built a country wide movement that inspired millions of people, and then he made it all about the election. Once he lost the whole movement just fizzled overnight.

And 12 and 16 years ago. Unfortunately they might break it for real this time.
in reply to SolacefromSilence

Did it? Under Biden homelessness has soared, home ownership is down, credit card debt is the highest it's ever been by every single metric, and we're fully funding and even sending troops into aide by a genocide. On top of this we somehow started a war with Iran and we're on the brink of war with China, the most peaceful nation currently on the planet.

If I were to tell you Trump did any of this, you wouldn't be surprised, because it's his policies and results of his policies too.

“Unlike Kamala, I will support Israel's right to win its war on terror. They have to win! And instead of pandering to the Jihad sympathizers and America-hating radicals, we will deport them.”

  • D. Trump, verbatim, on Nov 6th.

But yeah no, this will definitely improve things.

A new German resolution seeks to deprive Israel critics of public money

Germany's ruling coalition government has finally agreed on a new antisemitism resolution after months of debate amongst German politicians and fears that it will silence critics of Israel.

The final draft of the resolution titled "Never Again is Now: Protecting, Preserving and Strengthening Jewish Life in Germany" was agreed upon last Friday by the coalition consisting of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the Green Party and the liberal Free Democratic Party (FDP), as well as the oppositional Christian Democratic Union (CDU).

Its main features are the prioritisation of the controversial International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism and the withholding of state funds for artistic and scientific endeavours from those who take part in boycotts of Israel.

Gosh, Germans supporting genocide, again?! Who would have thought?
in reply to shalafi

"Never again" was just never again directed towards jews. With others it's just kindah, meh. If people calling themselves Jews are doing it, then it's it's to be supported.

GIMP - GIMP 3.0 RC1 Released

cross-posted from: beehaw.org/post/16923010

2024-11-06 by GIMP Team

We are very excited to share the first release candidate for the long-awaited GIMP 3.0! We’ve been hard at work since our last development update to get this ready, and we’re looking forward to everyone finally being able to see the results.

So, what exactly is a “release candidate” (RC)? A release candidate is something that might be ready to be GIMP 3.0, but we want the larger community to test it first and report any problems they find. If user feedback reveals only small and easy to fix bugs, we will solve those problems and issue the result as GIMP 3.0. However, we hope and expect a much larger audience to try out 3.0 RC1 - including many people who have only been using 2.10 up until now. If larger bugs and regressions are uncovered that require more substantial code changes, we may need to publish a second release candidate for further testing.
