Cringy, inaccurate, and reeks of arrogance. 200k users. I bet it got blocked because some bot started spamming the platform.

At the end of the day, the critical mass of users will be based on 2 things. Ease of use or engagement and content. Content creators won't go to platforms that don't bring in money or get yelled at for trying to make money.

in reply to gi1242

Why did the pixelfed creator have to fuck this up and treat his own community horribly? And such timing too. ( the pixelfed creator was acting horribly to the mastodon and other fediverse programmers and they came out and made a statement about how they don’t like being treated that way )

Varför är det svenska lemmy communityt så mycket mindre än det finska?

in reply to Svenssons Nyheter

Full Israeli cabinet approves Gaza ceasefire deal

The Israeli government has formally approved a mediated ceasefire agreement with the Palestinian Resistance, following the green light from the smaller security cabinet.

According to Axios, 24 Israeli ministers voted in favor of the deal, while 8 others opposed it.

in reply to geneva_convenience

Good for now, but it's a ceasefire, not peace. Netanyahu know once the orange failson is in office he can just start up his genocide again with no consequences.
in reply to tigeruppercut

I think the broader aim is to get aid into Gaza. More suffering is caused by food shortages, lack of medical facilities, etc. than bullets and bombs.
in reply to tigeruppercut

Good god, you blueMAGA shitlibs are SO fucking mad that Trump isn't continuing the genocide.
in reply to BrainInABox

lol, ok buddy. Trump's not president, so if you're giving him credit for this you're delusional. Also, if you don't think Netanyahu isn't gonna keep genociding as exactly as he's been doing for the past year I don't know what to tell you. Why tf would he change anything? If he's not back to murdering civilians in 3 months I'll be astounded.
in reply to tigeruppercut

I'm sure he is planning his next hamas attack as we speak. He needs an excuse to genocide, after all
in reply to tigeruppercut

It was literally Trump's envoy that secured the ceasefire after a year of Biden not succeeding (or trying), but keep coping that your team was the one keeping the genocide going.

Funny how you say "once Trump is in, Netanyahu can genocide without consequence". Because he sure has faced a lot of consequences under Biden!

in reply to BrainInABox

Gotta love how these Trump supporters are literally cheering for a guy that has been making deals with foreign entities without having any official position yet.

If you don't see how that's a massive problem, there's definitely something wrong with you.

in reply to Hawk

If it's for a cease-fire then I dont care, theres something absolutely wrong with you if you think that's a weird thing to get excited about. Maybe touch some grass and wonder what it would like if you were living under the most asymmetric war and most documented genocide in modern history
in reply to Hawk

it's a massive problem but it's the US's problem. this is about the genocide in gaza.
in reply to Hawk

Blue maga like you would prefer the genocide continue then? Seriously, listen to yourself: you're criticising people for cheering on a ceasefire. You absolute Trump-deranged ghoul.

Sorry, clearly this reading is a weakness of yours, I'll send it through chatgpt so it's dumbed down

You don't seem to understand geopolitics deeply and just repeat what the media says. I never claimed Trump was pro-Palestinian; I said he hates Netanyahu. But politics is messy, so Trump won’t directly say that. I also mentioned he might give away the West Bank while claiming credit as a peacemaker. You don’t seem to understand geopolitics or Trump’s ego. Biden could have ended the war but didn’t. He’s a lifelong supporter of Israel and a proud Zionist, even if he plays the harmless old man.

Here are two sources:
AP News
Axios

Not trying to be rude, but I’ve been following the Palestinian issue for 20 years. Could you even find Gaza on a map?

And when I say libtard i am joking, I'm not an American, but god I find the word funny. Besides im further left not right then liberals.

in reply to BrainInABox

It's the exact same deal Netanyahu agreed to last time, around September, before cabinet voted against it. Reports are that Trump has approved of Israel violating the ceasefire.
in reply to tigeruppercut

You are the delusional one here, I absolutely despise trump but his hatred for netenyahu (not his care for Palestinan) is what in a few days pushed a ceasefire with a stronger American focused leader. He probably will continue the genocide but it's absolutely crystal clear that Joe Biden was a pathetic old man with an absolutely stained legacy so bad the fascist got enough rally power for a second term.

The hope here is, trumps egos will be netenyahus downfall but the real fear is the west bank with trump, he will try to annex it to Israel

in reply to Shezzagrad

Trump hates Netanyahu? Guess that's why last year he said he wants Israel to win and that he'd give them whatever they need to win fast. Dunno if you just ignore what he says for whatever reasons you have but the rest of us live in the real world.

in reply to tigeruppercut

I think you made it clear you have a very surface level understanding of geopolitics and take whatever slop the media feeds you. I never once said he was pro Palestinan, i said he hates netenyahu, but its not gonna be a nice and clean comment from trump stating that, that's not how politics works, also I mentioned previously that he will most likely hand them west bank while taking the credit as peacemaker. Again you have no understanding of geopolitics and especially how trumps ego works. At any point biden had the capability to end the war, but as he stated and you're libtard ass probably don't recognise is, he is Israels longest running supporter and a life long Zionist, don't let the old man fool you he was very aware of what he and his administration was doing.

axios.com/2021/12/10/trump-net…

Not to be an asshole but again, you don't seem like you know much of what you're taking about, I've been observing the Palestinian situation for 2 decades, you couldn't point to gaza on a map

in reply to Shezzagrad

How does this respond to anything I said? You're so eager to contradict the "libtards" that you can barely read

It's funny how smart people can recognize that Trump lies all the time, and Trump will tell a room whatever they want to hear, etc.

But if you have a single Trump quote that you think will win an argument, well Trump surely meant it this time, no lie detected.

in reply to Shezzagrad

his hatred for netenyahu

That is some twitsted view. Netanyahu chose Trump to be US ruler. Huge zionist funding switch to Trump from DNC, because of student protests of genocide. Adelson family alone, who sponsored him to $100M in 2016, also reportedly gave $100M this cycle. His SOS pick, Marco Rubio, said after being nominated, "Kill them all, and it will be Hamas fault for genocide."

don't like this

in reply to tigeruppercut

Trump's "finish the job" encouragement is quite a bit harsher than "genocide with concerns" approach of Biden.
in reply to tigeruppercut

Really weird how it was one of Trump’s team members that told bibi “I don’t give a shit about the Sabbath” and forced Israel to kneel like dogs

Annoying, isn’t it, how reality is always on the side of leftists? Isn’t it frustrating how every component of liberal existence is a contradiction?

in reply to geneva_convenience

The genocide takes a pause so that the genociders can catch their breath. This doesn't mean the genocide has ended.

This Week in Plasma: Getting Plasma 6.3 in Great Shape

in reply to MazonnaCara89

Wow. A LOT is happening there.

Maybe I’ve been using Mint - Cinnamon for too long.

Need to get back and try KDE again, maybe OpenSUSE or something where KDE is 1st class citizen. Advices welcome 🤗

I can heavily recommend tuxedoOS, even on non-tuxedo machines. It's based on ubuntu but has snaps removed and only some small tuxedo apps installed :)
in reply to Ⓜ3️⃣3️⃣ 🌌

Opensuse Tumbleweed is great, I've been daily driving it for ages on 3+ devices. It's a rolling release and has all the latest packages, but is extremely stable. It has a built in recovery tool called snapper that allows you to roll back to a previous state before an update on the off chance you get a bad one. Ive only had to use it a few times over the years but it's been great to have.

Really underrated distro imo

in reply to Alas Poor Erinaceus

The description of their feed is very different from anything I see.

Billionaires dont get platformed on my lemmy feed, and she somehow doesn't see anything about the genocide when its like 20% of my feed for the past year.

in reply to Alas Poor Erinaceus

How does this author not even mention mastodon or pixelfed? Are they actually that ignorant?

in reply to Alas Poor Erinaceus

Its been critical for us Oregonians with our massive fires the last two years.

I find it odd that it's only a headline when it affects California.

in reply to Semperverus

Have you seen the population of LA county compared to the population of Oregon? The density isn't even comparable...
in reply to Chewget

"California bigger, Oregon doesnt matter!"

Can confirm Watch Duty is the shit. They’re how I figured out the evacuation alerts (PLURAL) we got were errors.

Chinese companies are in a catch 22 in Europe because Chinese law is completely incompatible with EU privacy laws.

And American companies are one executive order away from being in the same situation.

Their systems are slightly different so a local Luigi copycat would target someone else than an insurance CEO
