Opensuse Tumbleweed is great, I've been daily driving it for ages on 3+ devices. It's a rolling release and has all the latest packages, but is extremely stable. It has a built in recovery tool called snapper that allows you to roll back to a previous state before an update on the off chance you get a bad one. Ive only had to use it a few times over the years but it's been great to have.

I was pretty surprised at how the app is essentially a complete clone of IG. like the styling and layout of every button is pixel for pixel the exact same as IG. Innovation is one thing but copying everything about a program and calling it your own I'm not so sure about.

in reply to madjo • • •I just got set up on Simple X Chat. From my cursory research it seems to have the best security going in a chat app right now. I find the UI really slick too. It has all the features I use in a chat app anyway. The only thing to be aware of is that all the messages are saved locally, so backup/recovery needs to be handled by you. There's a couple videos an YouTube that go over the app.
All that being said, I still have WhatsApp on my phone. There's still the same problem of getting everyone in your life to download another app.
