Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Israel is establishing settlements in the northern Gaza Strip and has no intention of leaving them. His remarks align with Israel’s behavior in evading and undermining the ceasefire agreement.

So far, Israel has violated the agreement and controls more than 50% of Gaza’s territory beyond the so-called yellow line, continuing widespread destruction in these areas and rendering them uninhabitable.

Israel uses security concerns as a pretext to justify demolishing homes beyond the yellow line and not withdrawing in accordance with the agreement, yet the Defense Minister’s statements reveal Israel’s intention to entrench its occupation in Gaza.
