I am baffled by why the lovers of #Obtainium say that #Fdroid is "bad" and "insecure" -- and yet Obtainium still uses F-droid as one of its app-sources.

An example of this is the iOS app, which was ranked fourth in the priority feature poll. We raised around 600 USD for Vaidik to work on it. Now, we have Prav app for iOS.

Unfortunately, #Apple blocked us from publishing the app on the #AppStore , but it is available on Sidestore. We are checking if we can take any legal remedies against Apple.

seriously, if tuis was me I'd file a report for "false suspicion" and "blackmail" at that point, because Google Play's extortive demands, incl. forced self-doxxing, are incompatible with human- & civil rights!

  • In the meantime: #NameThemBlameThem [the corpo!] so everyone can #BanThemBoycottThem for this bs.!
    • Not to mention Google doesn't allow certain Apps in their Store purely out of spite; Same with Apple!

Finally got my hands on device with @GrapheneOS :blobcataww: Web installer experience was super smooth :blobcatthumbsup:

Now here's a question to you good folks: why @fdroidorg does not come out-of-the-box?

Forums lead me to multiple explanations and opinions, but I find confusing suggestion to pull built binaries from some GitHub pages rather than consuming from a shop with reproducible builds and real reviews on app submit :blobcatthonkang:

I've experienced that myself when submitted Bouncing Logo - whole process made me appreciate F-Droid even more :ablobcatheartsqueeze:

Folks who say publishing on F-Droid is slow, try doing that on Google Play or Samsung Galaxy Store when you are not a big popular vendor - it takes ages :this_is_fine:

I don't know better way to get open source apps than F-Droid. Do you?
