Now Gemini can spot AI video slop.
Last month the app learned to detect AI images, and now it can do the same for videos. It still only works using Google’s own SynthID watermark, meaning it’ll only spot AI videos made by Google itself. No word yet on when it’ll support the industry-wide C2PA standard.
You can now verify Google AI-generated videos in the Gemini app.

Hundreds of British healthcare professionals warned that six remand prisoners linked to the banned protest group Palestine Action, who are on hunger strike, are facing an immediate risk of death due to inadequate medical care.

@nazokiyoubinbou Japanese developers have always been deeply influenced by the first Alien movie and its sequel, so it’s not surprising to find many games with similar background stories.
A good example is Kissy, the main character of Baraduke by Namco, who is actually a girl fighting in space against Aliens — released a full year before Samus Aran in Metroid.
Eh, I think this game was undisguisedly ripping off at least somewhat on Metroid. I mean, they literally refer to "Mother Brain" lol.
You are right that Alien inspired a lot of course, but I think this one is a little simpler than that.
That said, I looked into the game more and wow it lacks any of the polish or good playing style of Metroid. Every single screen has constantly respawning enemies that ensure you can't even stand still for five seconds, sometimes one walks onto a screen and there is an enemy right there so it's automatic hurt, and if there is a way to refill the health that inevitably goes down constantly from the constant assault I didn't see that far in.
The game has neat ideas (kind of a Metroid RPG,) but yikes on the implementation.
