the *entire group* bonded over how much they were at the mercy of the "traditional" social media platforms, their algorithms, and how they themselves have ZERO control or agency over how much they use these platforms. and this was a point of... pride, almost!? like a covert prestige sort of thing!? like how in hustle culture, you pride yourself on & bond over 80hr weeks, even though those are likely ruining your life in some way!?
