Ello you lovely Friendos 💜

I've been working on my blog a bit while on my tablet. Now, I should be writing a bit on my PC, but I just want to lay down a bit and watch some telly. Maybe I'll get to the PC after some relaxing... It did feel good to write some for my blog, and I would love to have some more posts lined up in advance, just in case I won't be able to write too much in the first few days after the surgery...

Have a good start of the new week, and still the beginnings of the new month as well! Catch you all later!

🧚🏼‍♀️ 💜 🍀 🐾

lavrov, Rubio discuss peace settlement ahead of Ukraine-russia talks in Istanbul

The State Department confirmed that russia requested the call and that Rubio reiterated Trump's call for direct talks between russia and #Ukraine to achieve "a lasting peace."

kyivindependent.com/lavrov-rub…

in reply to Eugene McParland 🇺🇦

Unfortunately, a lasting peace is probably impossible for as long as Putin remains in charge. He HAS to win this war, for his own political survival. And 'win' for his needs means securing at least PART of Ukraine, not none of it.

The practical upshot is that Putin must go, one way or another -- and the sooner the better, for everyone involved. Russia needs him gone as badly as everyone else does.

And after that, Russia must change how it deals with the rest of the world.
