Today I learned about the apostrophe in Jet's Pizza.
Apparently, it's not Jet-possessive-s. The two co-founders are brothers Eugene and John Jetts. So it's Jet-there's a missing T-s.

These days, the foot of the Montagne Noire is swept by powerful gusts of #Autan wind. This wind from the Mediterranean brings a certain winter mildness—nearly 20°C (68°F) nonetheless! ...and makes chickadees, robins, and other passerines pirouette.
This scene reminds me of September 20, also an Autan day, when several hundred barn #swallows and house #martins twirled for hours above Revel. A magnificent and memorable sight 🫠 😍

in reply to rainey 🌻 • • •So I had to get up extra early this morning for a doctor's appointment with fasting blood work. In my back pocket, so to speak, was a coupon for a free personal pizza (cheese and one topping) I'd gotten for my birthday last month, which was set to expire on New Year's Eve.
I figured today would be the optimal day to redeem it, what with being still half-asleep and needle-poked. I am now stuffed full of pineapple pizza, still half-asleep but deliciously so, the anxiety over the blood draw now completely washed away.
