Crested sun orchids (Thelymitra x irregularis) in Croajingolong NP, East Gippsland, VIC. This beautiful small sun orchid (tip of my little finger here for scale) is thought to be a natural hybrid between T. ixioides (spotted sun orchid) and T. carnea (pink sun orchid).
Rare in Victoria and usually only seen in small groups (or single plants). Three plants out at this location - first time I've seen them here.

Small sun orchids (Thelymitra sp.) at Corunna, NSW (tip of my little finger included here for scale).
Quite a bit of variation at this location with a mix of blue and pink flowers and maybe both T. pauciflora and T. peniculata represented.
All flowers are shy to open with never more than one or two out at any one time - and only on warm sunny mornings.
