while I am a doomer in that I think things are going to get much worse and we should all be prepping for it, I would like to remind that when everything feels hopeless this is *more* reason for us to generate and spread hope. kinda like when your teeth are aching it's *more* reason to go to the dentist not less. it sounds obvious but emotionally it too often feels like the opposite.
one has to consciously look at everyone having collectively lost their way and decide to bravely, loudly insist on the potential for good anyway. to keep up hope is to be a radical.
So Dexcom will not replace the remaining 5 sensors that I have from this clearly faulty lot unless I use them.
They require me to risk harm in order to replace them.

I've been hearing from doctors about a recent test I had done. One tells me we can't proceed with a treatment and I have to see the other ASAP. The other calls to let me know what the numbers are (without references) and indicates we'll discuss them after the holidays. Of course, I'm a wreck.
Today, I get my copy of the results and learn that my numbers are "out of range" by 0.1 for the particular lab used and well in range for most labs in the US. My next appointment is not going to be pleasant.
ugh. I find that every doctor treats the reference ranges differently. It makes me unsure of everything. I end up researching online which is probably not the best strategy. They also don't seem to look for patterns, like a result going straight up or down over time.
My favorite is "Oh don't worry about that one. You were probably just dehydrated." I can push water and electrolytes like crazy and still get the same numbers.
