Sometimes I just send Mom a message that says "look at the Moon" or "look at the sunset" or just "look at the sky" And sometimes send that kind of message to me. I sent her a message just now "look at the moon" and she said "thank you for telling me" and I said "I will always let you know about the moon." And then I tried to write a poem because I thought that sentence was so nice. I don't think it's a very good poem. But poems take time. Maybe it will become good.
Okay well this is it so far. But I will probably change it all tomorrow:
I will always let you know about the moon
Look at the moon Can you see the moon from where you are? I’m walking at dusk and I’m feeling lonely My kid used to like walking with me I could talk to him about this perfect moon Its haunted white-gold glow An illuminated balloon looming over the hills But he’s too old to go for walks with his mom So I send you a message that says Look at the moon
You say thank you for letting me know about the moon Mom, I will always tell you about the moon Because maybe some day I’ll go for a walk And pull my phone out of my pocket And then I’ll remember So instead I will have to just whisper Look at the moon Can you see the moon where you are? Will you find a way to let me know about the moon?
And if I’m very lucky Maybe one day my kid will Be walking lonely somewhere And look at the night sky And think about me And send me a message
Our mind, the enemy of magic, they say. Yet, I mind the fairy lights in a vespertine sky. Yet, the sleigh bells ringing in the night matter to me. Aged packages unopened, I choose to pull the ribbon.

Where will you go when the trouble starts? For countless people around the world, the answer is that bomb shelter down in the basement. In fact, people from around the work have been building shelters to protect themselves from catastrophe -- natural disaster, war, nuclear events -- for centuries.
If you know something about Basic Income, you may be aware that 👉one of the first proposals for a Basic Income came from Thomas Paine, hero of the American and French revolutions.
In 1797, after a stint in a French prison, Paine wrote the pamphlet "Agrarian Justice", ⭐️which sets out an argument for taxing land and distributing the proceeds among the population at large as compensation for landlessness.
Paine’s proposal to tax land and distribute the proceeds widely rests on a basic insight from the natural law tradition: namely, the insight that there are two kinds of property, things that are created by human effort, and things that are not.
Things that are not created by human effort — like land and other natural resources — are a common inheritance, and everyone has an equal right to enjoy them.
When a few monopolize the land, the normal remedy is redistribution.

Let them simply pay a tax, and let that money be used to compensate the landless and give them some financial security.

I see it clear now: placating the wild animals with some fiscal appeasement so that they don't rise up and burn fields and factories. Sort of like general blackmail. That's sort of what it's become in the inner cities in America. It became pretty clear with regards to: pay us our SNAP or we're off to loot. It's less "for the benefit of man" it's more "selfish altruism."
