Just for shits and giggles (and because it was really cheap) I bought a MIDI controller to use with #darktable. I thought it might be a cool toy I would get bored of quickly... boy, was I wrong!
Having a dedicated hardware knob for the main sliders instead of tuning them on-screen with the mouse is a game-changer. Exposure, colour temperature, and contrast are _so_ quick to adjust now and I can keep looking at the photo while my hands do the work.

One of the most impressive resources I have come across is the #AppropriateTechnologyLibrary - a giant collection of books that is everything you'd need to make a village or community go with minimal effort and access to basic tools and references on how to make more tools.
