It is notable that the NYT is repeatedly accused of taking words out of context to create the most anti-trans narrative imaginable. For reference, this is the way Heng-Lehtinen's words were presented in the NYT story. If this is truly as blatantly out of context, the NYT should be ashamed.

Gotta admit I find it funny how many editors are paying people like Jonathon Chait to write that dems should capitulate on trans people and no trans journalist or columnist to defend us. At some point the rigged game becomes obvious.

Like how many columns saying the same exact thing are these editors going to pay people for?

Headlines like this keep me still hopeful. Now everyone in the nation will see the anti trans laws and will go through it with us, many for the first time. Maybe, just maybe, they’ll be turned off too.
