English scholar, poet, and author Walter Raleigh was born #OTD in 1861.

He is best known for his biographical studies, particularly his "Life of Shakespeare" (1907). He also wrote on figures like John Milton, Wordsworth, and Sir Walter Scott. Raleigh’s "Style" (1897) is one of his most influential works, where he discusses the nature of literary style, blending both theory and practical criticism.

PSA: if the keyboard of your #Asus Laptop is not working with #Linux, it likely needs a quirk entry to handle that model properly, because either Asus or the #kernel is doing something stupid.

Seems Tamim Khan is willing to submit such quirks for other people, so just dropping a note (see the Link for the email address) might be enough to get things sorted out.

Side note: a little sad to see that some of the commits adding quirk entries are not backported to stable and longterm #Linux #kernel kernels to get the keyboard working with them on those Asus laptops, too.

Teeny friendly reminder to use CamelCase for the hashtags for accessibility please, i.e. #DataMetrics #OpenData #MDCSummit. Screenreader users especially need this to distinguish words within the hashtag. Annoyingly, autocomplete usually presents the all-lower-case version by default 😢
