Strange but true...Peter O'Donnell, creator of Modesty Blaise, took inspiration from Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline and, somehow, shaped that into a story that included a murder at a cricket match.

The thing about propaganda is it's often very easy to see through if you just set your biases aside.
It hurts my brain to read transcripts of his statements. It’s not even word salad — it’s word slop.
The transcripts are devastating! We should transcribe and publish everything. When you see his remarks in writing, it’s so much clearer that everything he says is garbage.
New details in court filings pertaining to FTX executive Ryan Salame, including areas of criminal exposure prosecutors were investigating: foreign bribery, narcotics trafficking, hiring sex workers for FTX VIPs, and arranging preferential access to tokens.
Later, Salame’s lawyers claimed they don’t recall that meeting. Prosecutors argue that Salame’s petition should be denied outright, but if it isn’t, that communications between him and his counsel need to be examined to see whether he was misled by lawyers.
Side note because it’s amusing to me, but: prosecutors point out that Salame admitted to bankruptcy fraud (a crime for which he was not ultimately charged) “while trying to explain it away” in this tweet:
It would be pretty horrifying if Salame and Bond were in fact misled by their attorneys — not least because they say they decided to have a baby based on the government’s promises not to continue investigating Bond.
Both attorneys present at the May 25 call are partners at Mayer Brown, and hardly budget bin lawyers. Jason Linder, the one who acknowledged prosecutors’ statement that Bond’s prosecution was separate, is a former senior federal prosecutor for the DOJ. The other was an AUSA.
Funnily enough, this happened to me trying to buy a 3D TV for work many years ago. (I used to review Blu-rays and I was getting several 3D offers a week.)
Something went wrong, so I tried again. And again. And again. And then all of them went through and nearly all of my credit limit was taken up by 3D TVs. I was able to call support and cancel all but one order, but it took 2 to 3 business days to get the credit back and this was a Friday.
Huh. Once again in fun bandcamp trends, "Devil's Gonna Git You" from our Revolting Music from the Public Domain album has a substantial number of plays organically. It's the number 1 played song of the past week! That's really interested to me, and it always surprises me what's trending with us.
I should say, this is from #AnalogRevolution which is the label I run with @ajroach42
Anyway. If you want to check out the song yourself, you can do so here:
On I-65 in Alabama on the East side is a sign just past Prattville that says "The Devil is Going to Get You if You Don't Go to Church" with a picture of a red horned devil with a pitchfork. The song title may hit the curiosity button those who've traveled that.
(I'm religious and married to a PC-USA Presbyterian Reverend and neither of believe that sign, but find it interesting culturally).
