Why a society, and not just a document? Because those who have awakened carry a responsibility to those who have not. No one is at fault for what they were never shown.
The document carries the name of Shiva — the destroyer of ignorance. Not destroyed by anger or force. By the light of what is actually true.

One commitment stands between you and the other side of the ledger. The agreement binds the document. It cannot bind the understanding that comes from reading it.
Once these six rules live in your mind, they are yours permanently. Speak them, apply them, use them for the rest of your life.
It also protects the circle: 1.44 million people honouring the same commitment. A protection, not a restriction.
Debt traps are not personal failure or hardships. They are the failure of the elites, those who hold capital in the first place, and the central bank, which is eager to force their currency on us. The difference is that they shift blame and risks to the people who borrow the money. It is by design that they hold no liability. This is modern slavery.

Electrostates, Petrostates and the New Cold War, Adam Tooze
London Review of Books lecture, Podcast, 5 Aug 2026
"China is racing ahead in electrification, while the US turns its back on green energy in favour of a new era of fossil fuel machismo. An alignment between the three major petrostates – the US, Saudi Arabia and Russia – no longer looks implausible. The outlines of a new Cold War are becoming visible, one which will be determined by a novel mixture of ideology, critical technologies, supply chains and control of energy flows. How will these geopolitical dynamics play out – and what will it mean for global warming?" >>

Even though this comes from the Trump Administration, could it possibly be a good idea? Shouldn't we oppose lenders providing money to do things that they know won't pay off the loan, so-called "debt-slavery"?
(Of course people should be able to study in programmes for the sake for reasons other than ROI; but the question is whether the state should facilitate their endebtment to do so.)

Clear every debt before you invest, or do both at once?
I'd kill anything above about 8% first (credit cards, overdrafts), then invest alongside a cheap mortgage.
Where do you stand?

The arithmetic is free. The change is not automatic. Millions of people know they are in debt. Far fewer understand why, or what rule governs it.
Fewer still take the conscious, deliberate action that turns understanding into a different outcome.
Information is seeing which side you're on. Application is listening differently, hearing what isn't said. That's the gap between knowing and doing.
so #ezpass has f'd us
They double billed us some trivial amount ($11?) for something we probably already paid for. As in, downloading the CSV data from their site shows we paid it.
As a matter of principle we disputed it and gave them *their own data*.
This was in "adjudication" for months. There is no visibility into or appealing that process.
Keep in mind that THEIR RECORDS SHOW WE PAID THIS, plus we sent them paper copies of that data with the relevant portion highlighted.
It was sent to #collections
I would prefer to just pay it and make it go away (and switch away from ezpass if possible, which I think it isn't).
But I also have some vague feeling that you can make the collections people prove a #debt is legit (which...surely they can't here...?) and they often drop small change like this.
Am I wrong?
Here's the size of the answer, in one line. RM440,814 in interest, surrendered on one standard home loan. ÷ RM144, to understand it before you sign. = 3,061×
The cost of the uninformed position, measured against the price of understanding it. This isn't metaphor. It's arithmetic.

Why is the U.S. Buying Japanese Yen?
A rare coordinated intervention by the United States and Japan to buy the struggling yen may have stabilized the currency in the short run, but international observers worry fiscal and inflationary pressures may ultimately overwhelm the effort. William Dickens, a professor emeritu…
