I literally ran over a Unibody MacBook Pro with an SUV (accidentally, long story) and the case didn’t look this bad.

(Screen was also fine, but the screen glass broke)

@SrRochardBunson If you do the migration correctly (which is pretty easy), you keep followers and follows, bookmarks, block lists, etc.

You can download an archive of all your posts and media, then repost later (possibly with an app, still working on that one)

This is the latest variant of the "ahem, supper?" stare I get every night, usually well in advance of suppertime. Photo shows a large Bernedoodle, mostly black, with tan legs and a white muzzle, wearing a pink harness. Her face is close to photographer eye level, mouth slightly ajar, eyes locked, tail up, ears slightly raised, altogether hopeful and Just Being Helpful Here!
Another familiar sight -- same dog, just head and shoulders shown. Background is gray bricks, including a decorative circular pattern in the upper-left corner of the shot. The dog is sitting against my legs and is looking back over her shoulder in a way intended to remind me that We Could Be Going Any Timem Now! We are at the dog park, but apparently that doesnt' matter, nor does my enjoyment of the pleasant day...

Hey, everyone, I've got a #computer question!

Can I convert a 2014 #MacBook Air into... something else, like some kind of #Linux... ummm... thingy?

Or is it best just wiped and recycled somewhere? ☹️

I know. I'm setting myself up for reply guys, trolls being called a noob or worse, etc. But I really want to know if it's possible to do something useful with it besides yeet it into the sun.

I also know this place is rife with Linux users.

Do not worry! I have newer computers (2022ish), but... I loathe throwing stuff away, especially after #Apple has stopped supporting it (thus, the 1997 1400 CS sitting in my garage for which I bought a "new" motherboard recently…).

Anyway, I'm just gonna leave this here and come back tomorrow to see if there are any useful replies. Have fun!
