Israeli fighter jets bombed the family home of journalist Ahmed al-Zard southeast of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, killing his brother, uncle and two cousins.
Al-Zard, who was seriously injured in the attack along with his mother and another brother, is currently in hospital.
Others remain trapped under the rubble of the destroyed home.
Israeli forces fired on anyone approaching the house, initially preventing ambulance crews from reaching the wounded.
