"Emacs is an incredible piece of software. So much so, that anyone who uses Emacs for long enough, has to write at least a single blog post about it. I don’t make the rules."

So here we go: eliasstorms.net/notes-index.ht…

Also: finally converted my personal website from Hugo to Emacs and Org-mode. Pretty basic still, we'll see how it goes.

#emacs

lost me at "If you know Vim, you already know it."

I guess I'll have to wait for "EenNotes" where #emacs keybindings are the order of the day. Oh, wait, OrgMode already does all that! 😆

If you haven't heard of run-at-time in Emacs, now you know. Also included is a demo of using run-at-time to send yourself a future notification in macOS.

#Emacs

Atualizei as configs do meu Emacs. Removi o centaur-tabs e no lugar adicioney o ivy-rich para usar o ivy-switch-buffer. Gostei muito do resultado do ivy-posframe para deixar o switch no centro da tela.

Need input from the #emacs and #orgmode users. I'm trying to learn how to make presentations in org. It appears as though #revealjs is a good option. But I see that there are many packages (org-reveal, org-re-reveal, oer-reveal, emacs-reveal)

What are people using for presentations in org? Reveal.js is a good alternative? Other options?

@futurile It's been a few months. It's been more of a "me problem" just trying to come up with some kind of good system/home setup that I can work with.

I think the largest hurdle for me is going to be my #emacs setup, which isn't overly complicated now that I've moved away from doom.

Right now I'm all about one step at a time. I want to get Niri and Noctalia setup next.

it took one hundred and forty seven versions, but firefox finally lets you change your key bindings

support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/c…

#emacs users rejoice now that we have the ability to disable the default bindings for C-n and C-p and will no longer throw our laptops out the window because we tried to scroll up and accidentally opened 15 print dialogs despite not owning a printer
