Turns out Musk's promise of an electric vehicle for under $25,000 was just another one of his scams to boost stock prices and he has no plans at all to produce one

but hey, enjoy your "cybercab"

Well, it's a step: The Times finally calls on historical context. Good. Though Springfield dogs & cats is not about cuisine; it is a blood libel as The Times' own Jamelle Bouie instructs. Try again, Times.

haven't watched this yet but I saw Caribou around 2009 or so and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen (and just for context, I've seen hundreds of shows across every genre, both as a fan and covering them professionally as a music journalist).

@etherdiver always fantastic live! I saw Caribou live at the festival in 2017, I think (granted, "saw" - I didn't manage to actually get inside the stage ;) I was right next to it). It was a great party.

Investigators said warden Andrew Ciolli should have stopped abuse of prisoners. He faced disciplinary action. Now he's the director of a federal center that teaches others how to run prisons.

I'm likely voting for Harris (despite not liking many of her policies, Gaza, war against sex workers, etc.) even though I live in a state that will solidly go for Harris. I don't think I've voted for a candidate that won since maybe Clinton (but my preferred candidate has always won the state).

I have a feeling there are other people like me that might make this a crazy big[ger] win for Harris than ever before.

I would love to see two coherent, functional parties with actual stances and reasonable math-based policy proposals.

But not in my lifetime. :flan_disappointed:

Yep, it's all about the feels and not science.

Until the electorate learns about science it'll be like this for a long time.

See all the evidence for masking, providing homes to homeless, providing UBI, climate change, public transit, against adding more freeway lanes, pollution, etc. (I keep on thinking of more, but have to end the list somewhere)

Yet the electorate refuses to listen when there is hard evidence.

W/ climate change we are going to end up with the above out of necessity.
