Antarctic krill trap vast amounts of carbon from the atmosphere in the ocean floor through their sinking fecal pellets, a new study reports.
The annual amount is similar to that stored by “blue carbon habitats” such as mangroves, seagrass and salt marshes, highlighting the importance of protecting krill.

Proba-3: Not because it is easy…
Video: 00:01:54
Not because it is easy but because it is hard: this historic space phrase is pretty much the definition of ESA’s double-satellite Proba-3 mission, which will employ precise formation flying to produce artificial total solar eclipses in orbit, casting a shadow from one spacecraft to the other. No-one has ever flown a mission like this, up until now. But just why is it so hard? Find out in this curtain-raising video trailer.

I've posted this Iraq-born artist before, but I've been thinking on several of his older pieces today. We are facing total ruin and real horrors. People all around me seem to be in denial about imminent devastation that in my opinion cannot now be stopped. There is mourning, but maybe also a stubborn quiet celebration, inside those moments of terrible realization. Horror mingled with gratitude: That is also human art.

If an app starts using the portal for USB access, it can drop the static `all` or at least `usb` device permission.
Portals are the thing that apps have to use to not get classified as "potentially unsafe" and that's why we're trying to add more portals for the remaining use cases.
