I do not use search engines that source from Bing or Google (DDG, Searx) to research history even a day old.

From the protocols ravergram.club/bernard/protoco…:
We shall erase from the memory of men, all facts of previous centuries which are undesirable to us, and leave only those which show all the errors of the governments of the Goyim.

Here is who runs these engines:
ravergram.club/bernard/jtech

Yandex and Brave are run by gentiles. The proof is in the results.

Brave search? I think it is pretty self sustaining. The guy who owns brave is a Christian
in reply to Masterofballs

In past Brave search seemed to be using Google/Bing indices as it gave me similar results or non results. I just tried it again with a title of an article that appears at unz.com and globalresearch.ca which are censored from Google/Bing. It returned the article! It also gave me articles from RT. It appears Brave is now using more organic results, and I will start using it again. πŸ˜ƒ

The House passed H.R. 9495, a bill that would give Trump unchecked power to go after his political opponents.

Because Democrats still control the Senate, the real risk is that the bill gets attached to some other piece of must-pass legislation. We need senators to forcefully speak out against that happening. Make sure your Democratic senators hear from you. indivisible.org/resource/tell-…

πŸ€” Assuming Trump were any more civilized & conciliatory than 1930s German Nazis would be a mistake.

Except that German Nazis didn't persecute dissenters out of dementia. Which returns the blame to moron Trump's directing puppeteers.

DID YOU KNOW: Serial Experiments Lain is about The Singularity
in reply to Digital Mark Ξ» β˜•οΈ πŸ•Ή πŸ™„

@mdhughes Perhaps the final adoption of IPv6 will trigger The Singularity?

That's just how good it is.

I'm not sure what the Beowulf cluster of psychics was about though, is that in the specification?

in reply to Urusan

@mdhughes Also, it's kinda funny going back and reading the wiki article on this series as I last saw it decades ago so my memory of the specific events of the series is in complete tatters.

@kurt Not even because it makes "A Serbian Film" look like a pleasant dinner party, but because you're being a little /too/ weird about the GNU Image Manipulation Program.

I love this "Java Almanac" site made by @Marc R. Hoffmann ! I tripped across it looking for old JDK versions. It has all the information, in diffable form too, of the various Java versions going back to its prototype days. I'd love for something like this to exist around Dart and Flutter. #programming #java #DartLang javaalmanac.io/

Ah interesting. I built something similar for a customer for their internal APIs. They wouldn't let me open source it. Looks like the Almanac folks have open sourced part of their tool chain. This is great.

Everything you need to know about using CSS print styles for PDFs and actual printing!

didoesdigital.com/blog/print-s…

I wrote this blog post/novel so you don't have to wade through decade-old posts to figure out what's legit for print/PDFs in 2024. Just jump to the section you need.

It's based on my experience writing print styles for my Next.js book and website, so there's book-specific info and a whole mess of front-end tooling details in there too. Who knew there were browser dev tools for simulating print media!

NEW details of the 2017 sexual-assault allegation that led Pete #Hegseth to pay an undisclosed financial settlement to his accuser:

Despite Hegeth's lawyer's claims that law enforcement had evidence the woman was a serial fabricator of such charges, the District Attorney's office has no such evidence. newyorker.com/news/news-desk/p…

in reply to Laffy

Remember when Donald Doofus paid Stormy Daniel’s money to stay quiet? Now there’s a politician getting pissed drunk with several other women… Hegseth should be the poster child for drunkenness… I’ll just leave it with this quote: β€œTell me who your friends are, and I’ll tell you who you are.” One of Hegseth’s friends happens to be a rapist…and a liar…and a bigot… I can go on for the next few hours…

Good morning Mastodon! Just want to let big tech know that from now on I will not buy anything that includes #AI by default or not let me opt out. I don't care about the brand or hardware. If you try to shove AI down my throat with no opt-out option, you will never get my support again. Especially if you can't run your data center on renewable energy. #degoogle #protectourkids #climatechange

Today is the last day to pre-order the #LightPhone III at US$500. Tomorrow (Dec 3), the pre-order price jumps to US$600.

"The Light Phone III is everything you already love about the Light Phone, done a little bit better, and with a camera. It's faster, has a bigger screen, metal frame, USB-C, a loud speaker, flashlight, finger print sensor, and adds 5G with one global model you can travel with. It is the most practical way to ditch your #smartphone for good."
