Gaza’s Civil Defense reported on Saturday that Israeli forces killing Palestinians and leaving their bodies in the streets where stray dogs feed on them is a clear violation of international law.

In a statement, the Civil Defense explained that Israeli forces have repeatedly targeted rescue teams and ambulances, specifically when they attempt to approach the bodies of those killed.

I'll discuss it if you have vocally denounced Israeli actions in Gaza. If you haven't put in the work to end the atrocities, if you haven't demonstrated that you care about Palestinian lives, then you don't get to discuss semantics or the intricacies of international humanitarian law.

Pope Francis on Saturday again condemned Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, a day after an Israeli government minister publicly denounced the pontiff for suggesting the global community should study whether the military offensive there constitutes a genocide of the Palestinian people.

The pope is usually careful about taking sides in conflicts, but he has recently been more outspoken about Israel's military campaign against Hamas.

I'm only tangentially involved in the #Linux #community these days.

I'm a lazy user for the most part. I used to report #bugs regularly in the old days.

In fairness there aren't nearly as many bugs now and I haven't come across one that inconvenienced me in quite a while.

But I am still impressed by how helpful and non judgmental this community is to new arrivals.

This community never judges its #users. I wish we could transfer that to other areas of public life.

Mi è stata inavvertitamente rivolta la parola dalla cognata per chiedermi un parere sul primo piatto della cena di Natale. Se non avessi parlato avrei sicuramente avuto una porzione esagerata di un intrangugiabile impasto di pasta corta con cozze calamari e gamberi, da mangiare con cucchiaio. Ho proposto una penna salmone e champagne, ma sono stato deriso... Al che mi ha detto che la potevano fare. Solo per me. Al che io sono fuggito in un'altra stanza dicendo che io mangio ogni cosa e che la mia proposta era solo per valutare una alternativa.

Voglio tornare a casa.

Putin once more confirmed explicitly that he has no interest in peace.

Asked directly whether a ceasefire in Ukraine is possible, he says, "Our army is advancing. [...] Stopping for a week would mean giving the enemy a chance to fortify their positions.”

The Russian war machine will not be stopped by some unlikely strike of Putin's non-existent goodwill. The only way to resist Russia is through strength.
