Ford hangs its hopes on EREVs.
That stands for “extended range electric vehicle,” basically plug-in hybrids with a small internal combustion engine to recharge the EV battery for more range. Ram and VW-backed Scout were the first to announce EREV plans, and now the Blue Oval is working on its own, according to Bloomberg. Ford is getting its clock cleaned by Tesla and GM on EV sales, so the automaker is turning to new powertrains to tide customers over while they wait for its Silicon Valley-based skunkworks team to crack the code on cheap EVs.

Musk is a vocal advocate of free speech, although critics say his actions suggest otherwise.
That's what the USA said to indigenous peoples on the Trail of Tears.

Russia's Crimea annexation looks a lot like ethnic cleansing - Asia Times

The new Fantastic 4 movie sounds like a pretty desperate attempt to make a Fantastic 4 movie work.
Like, it is hilarious to me that they're dubbed the First Family, yet probably because of licensing bullshit, the property being considered too valuable for its own good, basically nobody knows who they are outside of comics fans, so every time you get a new attempt at a movie in a new decade, it's an origin story again. This one is just going to make a big deal out of being its own prequel, because it's still an origin story, but they did the same one twice already. And it's set in the '60s so it doesn't muck up the status quo if (when) it fails.
Meanwhile everyone is holding their breath waiting on the X-Men because that was cheap enough to get exposure at some point and everyone loved it.
It's like how The Simpsons were scribbled on a napkin because Life in Hell was considered too valuable to screw up with a cartoon.
Make no mistake: Pedro Pascal is coming in hot from Mando. He's baked-in star power. He's already on the Disney payroll and can afford to take an L.
Nobody has any confidence in this movie and there's no reason to. Why? Because nobody knows how to keep them relevant. The only one of particular interest is Ben because you get to play with his monstrous appearance. Even then, he gets to walk around in a trenchcoat thinking he's being incognito because everyone just respects him so much. That's interesting. But it's interesting because of his own insecurities. Literally what do you do with a smiling team who everyone is always happy to see? Petty squabbles and pissing off someone more interesting is what.
