Microsoft (365) verletzt Gesetze

Reminder. Cops exist to protect capitalists and capital - not you or your loved ones. Cops don't exist to protect the working class! #politics #news #police #cops #leftists #communism #liberals
in reply to Shawneee

adjacent reminder: cops do NOT have a duty to protect or serve the public. Case law has established that if someone is being hurt by a criminal and calls the police, but the police don't want to show up because the criminal might be dangerous, they don't have to intervene. That just isn't required by their job.

See (TW sexual violence) en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren…

Their function is not to serve the public either: they don't spend very much effort on tackling crimes that affect lots of the public negatively (like wage theft) but instead focus most of their time/effort on crimes that inconvenience the rich (like loitering).

Performative cruelty? What's that? I see performative kindnesses more frequently. Cruelty is still cruel with or without any adjective.

"It's especially essential that I am here today in memory of my beloved husband who died two months ago. He was a Bedouin Palestinian born near Jaffa, and he fought all his life to return to Palestine."

Irish academic Patricia Ryan Abu Wardeh remembers her late husband - Naim Abu Wardeh - speaking to MEE's Ava Warrinerr on the 77th anniversary of the Nakba. Organisers estimate 500-600,000 people attended the march in London.

In an Al Jazeera interview, Dr. Mohammed Abu Silmiyeh, director of Gaza’s al-Shifa hospital, describes catastrophic conditions as Israeli attacks cripple medical services.

The nearby Indonesian Hospital is now "completely out of service" after drone strikes, leaving tens of thousands without care.

Al-Shifa—already overwhelmed—is housing eight patients in spaces meant for four, with tents erected for overflow.

#Poland, #Portugal, and #Romania all going to the polls today sounds like the #ESC for #PoliticalScience, except that Political Scientists already had their ESC yesterday

The image depicts a vibrant stage performance with three individuals in traditional European attire. The central figure is a man holding a guitar, dressed in a white shirt, a brown vest, and grey pants. To his left, a woman wears a long, dark blue dress with intricate floral embroidery, featuring a white blouse with puffed sleeves. To his right, another man is in a black jacket with red and gold embroidery, white shirt, and grey pants. The background is filled with a cheering crowd, waving flags of Poland, Portugal, and other nations, under bright stage lights. The scene conveys a sense of celebration and cultural pride.
