Never been diagnosed, hesitant to self diagnose. Didn’t know this was an austism-related thing. When I see idiomatic phrases my mind immediately parses them as literal as well as fully knowing the idiom. I’ll continue to “riff” on the literal scenario in ways I’m certain some would consider obsessive, but it’s not like I can do anything about it. It also feels completely effortless.
