Zionism offers a unifying identity for many American Jews. But as a Jew by Choice, born in Mexico and raised in the U.S., I’ve found that Black, Indigenous, and Chicanx thinkers’ theories of diaspora have helped me understand my own identity.

Why bomb Iran?
Fuck the conspiracy theories. It was not about winning back popular support. It was immensely unpopular among the general public and even among MAGA supporters. It even pissed off Fascists like Charlie Kirk and Steve Bannon. It might even end up being Trump's undoing.
Here's one reason: it was a chance to test the GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP), a 13.6-ton bunker- busting bomb—the most powerful non-nuclear weapon of its kind ever used. And it was a way to demonstrate US weapons prowess to China and Russia.
And here's another reason: overthrowing or, at least, destabilizing, Iran takes out one more important ally of Russia and China, paving the way for an eventual direct confrontation in the drive for complete
Hegemony.

Donatello created his famous bronze of David for the Medici family, back in the 1440s. It was the first free-standing bronze figure to have been cast since antiquity: both a technical and artistic triumph.
I spent some time admiring it last time I was in Florence.
