It is a very wet morning here, I heard the rain starting and dived out of bed to get idiot cat in. Then the rain started to really fall. The gutters couldn't handle it, it was like sheets of water falling from them. I opened the front door, sat down and just enjoyed the coolness and the watching the rain bouncing off the ground. A very relaxing start to the day.
The rain has stopped again for now, but there is a nice cool breeze. The village is shrouded in fog. A bird, hidden away somewhere, is singing the most beautiful song.
Right as this minute, I'm blissfully calm and happy, happier than I have been in a while. Probably because the rainy weekend did eventually cool things down last night so I slept. Starting the day watching the rain was like nature leading me in meditation.
Now its time for coffee, then I stitch!

in reply to Fi • • •Not a big fan if I'm on my way to work (it's a long walk from home to the bus stop, and another long walk to work!), but it's totally different on my way home - getting to work and spending the next few hours damp and cold versus getting home, stripping off, and putting on some cosy PJ's.
But sitting on the house, listening to the rain through an open window - far better than interminable heatwaves.

I've heard it described as "white noise for the soul", and yeah - it helps me sleep...

But then went inside, had a shower, and got comfy.
And dry!
