It’s #WorldEmbroideryDay ! I make #SciArt #embroidery of #anatomy and #symptomatology. After I got sick with #MECFS in 2015 I started stitching as a more restorative creative practice than my previous music and theatre work.

I didn't see anything in there that could be taken as a confession of anything. Just a slime trail.

Do you prefer writing stories with ensemble casts or with an intimate set of characters?

I prefer an ensemble with a few intimate ones that are more detailed.

If money wasn't an issue where would you arrange a WordWeavers writing retreat?

Castle Neu Schwanstein, way to much south and warm for my personal liking but I would invite everyone together with a big temporary party pool and costume builders/tailors so everyone.

Well even if that wouldn't be a monetary issue I would probably restrain myself do to the ecological footprint...

So BBQ party?

If money is no issue you can sponsor train and ecar rides. And adopt a piece of rain forest for the flights compensation 🙂
in reply to Vash

@Vash well that is true but I would have to plant a shit load of trees for that CO2 compensation and it would pull that from the air in an instant... Even if I buy protective property in the Rain forests it would take ages to pull all that crap from the surrounding. :/

Do you ever worry that your books may offend others or be banned?

Skip

Do you use different voices or types of language while writing?

I haven't found a good or more so a good enough way to give my characters unique voices yet.

Do particular kinds of animals show up in your writing?

Not at this point I have created beasts of burden for some DND campaigns like the Drymph, they are called Big Tree Spirits and basically they are what you get if you Cross a Donkey with a Gorilla and give them the climb skils of Orang Utans.

The biggest beasts can't climb that much anymore because they would easily crush most trees only the ancient trees on Kureanai, the parasitic continent that shifts through space, time, dimensions and everything else possible, can hold this monstrous but peaceful creatures.

This trees are some of the tallest trees in most dimensions reaching heights around 850 meters and are thicker than public places. If Kureanai shift's this are the first things that shift into reality, cutting through the mist and fog until the landmasses "roll" in.

As the continent arrives 10000. of pirate ships sail out everyone wants to be the first.

Has anything unusual happened to your MC at school or work?

Yes a rough break up with their main partner on vacation, and the MCs dodged a terrorist attack, because of the aftermath of the break up, which leads to a chaotic aftermath back in the school, with way to much other people getting involved and a strange connection being present, despite both events happening unrelated to each other.

It's pretty much all that really exist of Star Ryde so far next to some ploted parts and the rough integration of the Prompt answers from all prompt games I participate in, that I wNt to keep.
And if I don't get it cut back a little bit at some point it might end up as a book instead of two chapters...

Do you create unique character names, or use "real world" names?

I have a mix of real-world and fictional names since Star Ryde takes place in the 24 Century with alien cultures a name like Mondira Ramann sounds weirdly familiar to some but alien to others. For my half elfs in DND I often use known names and just replace a letter with an apostrophe or push around the parts, cut letters etc.
Zelda went to Za'el Darr,
Ja'zia Li'raey from Jadzia & Liberty (I think I used the French word as a basic but not sure anymore).
My Cyberpunk characters have some stuff going on like my "evil" Corporate V from CP2077 be named Vile.
B. a drone techie from cyberpunk 2030/Red is an Easteregg to V. but also named like this because she uses a shipload of drones.
Woran is a NPC from a DND Champaign a rich merchant with a way to big ego his last name is Stiszplaz ("I'm am the one, Woran Stiszplaz).
A lot of other names are simple Eastereggs like Ron Hackett Anderson.
