For #Caturday, this is Not My Cat.
A very handsome and fluffy cat with dark markings has been exploring my garden. I don't know it's home. But it is so well cared for it is definitely not a stray

Ghost Halloween Decor Eco-Friendly Book Spooky Decor
These eco-friendly ghosts are made out of used books and are a unique way to decorate for Fall and Halloween. We love these as Halloween Party favors.Flipping Creative
These are adorable, I'd only seen hedgehogs made with this same technique before!
Also, pfft. Libraries discard (tens or hundreds of) thousands of old books every year, and crafts like these are an excellent use of those books instead of tossing them straight to recycling/trash. There ARE unwanted books that will not be read by anyone anymore, for various reasons, and it is a kindness and ecological to re-use them in this way.

#SupremeCourt lets #Trump strip protections from >300,000 #Venezuelan immigrants
#SCOTUS on Friday allowed the Trump admin to strip #legal protections from >300k Venezuelan immigrants.
The *justices* issued an emergency order, which will last as long as the court case continues, putting on hold a lower-court ruling by US District Judge Edward Chen in San Francisco that found the admin had wrongly ended #TPS for the Venezuelans.

"A tunnel to Rio Rancho" or more bridges? Mayoral candidates pitch plans for Westside traffic woes - City Desk ABQ
Should Albuquerque tunnel under the Rio Grande or build new bridges across it? Mayoral hopefuls Eddie Varela and Darren White pitched big ideas to ease Westside traffic during a recent candidate forum hosted by business leaders.Jesse Jones (citydesk.nm.news)
@TheNovemberMan We need more bridges and improved roads.
I used to commute from Uptown to my job at Cottonwood Mall via the Montano Bridge. On the 157 Louisiana/Montano bus. Always a clusterfuck at rush hour.
(I've been pestered for years by bus drivers to do an Albuquerque Behaves Badly on drivers at Montano & Coors, not far from the bridge. Someday I'll do it.)
Paseo del Norte is always a mess. Ditto Alameda.
NIMBY'S run the show.

I’ve always wondered how come we Italians manage to have the warmest hearts, whilst always managing to elect the worst and most cynical political representatives that eventually don’t even bother to listen to protests like these…
Today I heard many of my friends in Italy who said that they weren’t bothered at all by the strike, even though it basically paralized the whole country. Most of the people were sympathetic with the cause. Yet when Meloni commented on it she said that the strikes created discomfort to too many people, and that protesting won’t change anything for Gaza…
