Nice guy of no fixed address takes a turn at driving the bus, checks bus pass validity, makes scheduled stops, passengers give him directions when he deviates from route

Reminds me of the time some Canadian store was left unlocked overnight for some reason. They did inventory and the only thing missing was 1L of motor oil & there was a $20 on the counter

What are your plans for when ChatGPT enshittifies?
I don't think we realize how good we have it right now. ChatGPT is unbiased (configurable solely and fully by the user) and truly tries its best to be useful. It's surely a question of time before OpenAI lets advertisers pay them to introduce product pladement and biases into the LLMs thinking in exchange for cash. What alternatives are there for getting the current experience when that happens? I wouldn't mind paying a small subscription.

While this change to the New York Times’ brand identity may have nothing to do with the changes on the news side, the shift from being the most serious and respectable of all papers to a place where people play Wordle and find a cookie recipe has certainly coincided with a shift in tone that seems, frankly, a bit downmarket.

I know winning is just a start, but this one feels really good! I was just pleasantly surprised when she entered the race and just hoped she would put some pressure on him. But I thought Harrell would be very hard to beat. And he was! Katie had to run a strong campaign.
