I’m excited about Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis.
This is a remake of the original Tomb Raider. Not a remaster. The original trilogy already got that treatment last year.
Normally, I’d argue developers should leave original works alone. Tomb Raider is an exception. The tank controls were never accessible. The remaster helped, but the presentation still feels undersized for what the series is.
We’ve already had a decade of “Lara Croft coming into her own.” What we need now is the Lara I grew up with. Composed. Competent. Already dangerous. Someone who walks in ready to outthink everyone else.
That said, I have questions. When did Amazon get the rights to Tomb Raider? And why is Flying Wild Hog, best known for Shadow Warrior, co-developing this with Crystal Dynamics?
