Ukrainian drone attack kills 2 in Russia as millions in Ukraine lose power byteseu.com/1625633/ #Russia

After a decade of this, thoughts and prayers don't work. They've never worked and will continue to not work. We need action. Reform.

We are the only nation to have the cure to gun violence, but continually put a bunch of anti vaxxers in charge of it.

O texto à esquerda diz: “COMO EU QUERIA SER A 10 ANOS”. O texto à direita diz: “O QUE REALMENTE ME TORNEI”.

Washington State is literally so photogenic. Like, what the fuck? This state is fucking beautiful. I can snap a picture of some garbage cans behind a weed shop and have it be the prettiest shit I ever saw. Fucking beautiful, man...

From what I've observed over almost 5 decades, some businesses exist just to do what they do, and making money is just a means to that end. Other businesses exist just to make money, and doing what they do is just a means to that end.

the fucking "no ethical consumption" meme was a psyop that fried everyone's brain in the online anglosphere. And honestly not just the meme but also the adoption of advanced hyper-specific radicool ideologies that argue about ideals and not realistic things to do right now. The solidarity economy is what we all should focus on, permanently.

I see it as a necessary corrective, overegged to the point of being misleading.

The majority of purchasing (per $) is done by institutions not individuals, and among individuals the vast majority is done by the 1%. So it's true that we can't consume our way of capitalism, even if we convince most people to make more ethical purchasing choices.

But we can act in solidarity with businesspeople trying to do the right thing.

so if you have a volunteer who is a mega pain in the ass and who doesn't seem to get the message when you allude to it:

"Because some people did not follow the explicit directions given on the event plan we have been asked not to participate in any more events with this agency"

is it mean or nasty of us to say directly

"YOU went in to an off limits area, YOU did not follow directions, YOU did not follow chain of command so because of YOU the whole program may not participate at any further events sponsored by 'agency x'"

because I've HAD IT with this particular volunteer.

Nope. Volunteering doesn’t make them immune to valid criticism.
