TRUMP TRIAL UPDATE

Judge Chutkan says 2024 election ‘not relevant’ in deciding Trump criminal case timeline

The judge declined to set a new trial date but appeared inclined to give prosecutors a chance to lay out damaging evidence against Trump in the next few weeks.

The Moon had volcanic activity much more recently than we knew

Eruptions seem to have continued long after widespread volcanism had ended.

I love it when astronomers and geologists start an article by mentioning something spectacular happened "recently" and then you read the article to find out that this "recently" was 2 billion years ago! 😅

Now I’m feeling mopey that summer is over and I didn’t get to the Cape and/or Islands even for a long weekend.

Doesn’t matter that I grew up at the beach in Southern California. I was conditioned early on to thinking of the sensory experience in coastal New England as quintessentially summer.

So, I feel a little cheated when I don’t get to breathe in the mix of salt and freshly mown lawn carried by a strong breeze flapping all the American flags on tall white poles. That sort of thing.

And look at this—right on cue, the Whaling Museum taunting me from New Bedford!

(It’s absolutely fantastic if you’re ever in the neighborhood—about midway between Newport and the Cape. New Bedford used to be HUGELY rich because of whaling and the museum does an amazing job of telling that story.)

I'm going to guess that the maximum number of photos you are allowed to put into a collection on @pixelfed is 100. #Pixelfed

With less than two months remaining before the election, Donald Trump’s controversial crypto project has stirred unease within the cryptocurrency community. @quartz has the story. #Trump #Cryptocurrency #Tech #Technology #Crypto qz.com/trump-crypto-project-he…

If any group of people deserve to be ripped off though, it's the Crypto Community lol

I'd say, let it go the Titanic way:

Just made another donation today to keep my dona-thon going up to debate day on Tuesday September 10. Thanks to my friend @heidilifeldman for the graphic!

Excited to see this morning that HarrisWalz exceeded $300 million in donations for August. We all helped make that happen. But we can’t take our foot off the pedal and coast! The HarrisWalz team are going to need all the resources we can give them to ensure victory in November.

So, can you join me in pitching in to keep the momentum going? I’m just asking for $1 a day to debate day. $6 if you want to do it in one donation today. More if you can afford it. A donation link is below.

Thanks!
