Is "Ocean's 14" in the pipeline? Deadline's Mike Fleming Jr. says momentum is building, with George Clooney and Brad Pitt set to return, and "All Quiet on the Western Front" director Edward Berger replacing Steven Soderbergh at the helm. What do you think — would you welcome another instalment of the caper film franchise, or is this a gamble Warner Bros. shouldn't take? Tell us in the comments which movie you think does deserve a sequel — or if there's a franchise you think should just die already.

I love it when astronomers and geologists start an article by mentioning something spectacular happened "recently" and then you read the article to find out that this "recently" was 2 billion years ago! 😅

Now I’m feeling mopey that summer is over and I didn’t get to the Cape and/or Islands even for a long weekend.

Doesn’t matter that I grew up at the beach in Southern California. I was conditioned early on to thinking of the sensory experience in coastal New England as quintessentially summer.

So, I feel a little cheated when I don’t get to breathe in the mix of salt and freshly mown lawn carried by a strong breeze flapping all the American flags on tall white poles. That sort of thing.

And look at this—right on cue, the Whaling Museum taunting me from New Bedford!

(It’s absolutely fantastic if you’re ever in the neighborhood—about midway between Newport and the Cape. New Bedford used to be HUGELY rich because of whaling and the museum does an amazing job of telling that story.)
